The Pontiac GTO is without a doubt the model after which the muscle car era was created. Beefy looking and aggressive standing, every teenager in the mid-sixties and early seventies dreamt of
owning one, or building a car like it out of other midsized cars of the day. But nothing matched the simple awesome beauty of this early supercar.
I am partial to the 1965 GTO, there is no doubt about that. I am not going to bash or rank on any other car (except maybe Ford Falcons!...only kidding!) or compare stats of one vs. another,
because I believe that this was truly the era of the best street machines ever produced by any of the Detroit Carmakers. Everyone's got their favorite and they have a right to them. They were all great cars.
My story is about the car that captured me from the time I was 12 years old, saw me through some incredible times and reunited with me 30 years later. The 65 GTO. Enjoy the ride........
